About Natural Remedies

I need to state very clearly, that as much as I believe in natural medicine, I also firmly believe in the miracle of advanced medical breakthroughs...remember, though many medications may be synthetic, many are derived from natural sources...we cannot forget that we are a species capable of great thinking...and if that thinking is a natural part of our biology, what we synthetically produce must still be made of natural elements around us..our ability to manipulate them is simply a part of our natural inherant intellegence. I also understand that within the world of medicine a great number of political hinderances and manipulations turn the evolution of how medicine is prescribed. All I can say, is yes, consult a physician, they still have years of schooloing about the body and how it works...but still keep the mind that you are a patient with rights...and ultimately you have the right to know what you are injesting and what it does to your body. Be weary an mindful of what you are prescribed, but do not turn a blind eye to the benefits of medicines that were created for the benefit of mankind. We have rid many diseases, and viruses, and at the same time have a long way to go. These are my expressed opinons..I simply urge you to seek out education wherever you can get it, and be mindful still at what you may find.

With that said, I believe whole heartedly in the old-time remedies used for centuries. I also know that unfortunately many of us are not growing our own resources, and many of us do not have the skills to refine them still, so we are dependent on the natural food markets to distribute some of our natural remedies to us...W have all heard the classics about Ginger and its benefits to the digestive system, and the benefits of Ginseng to our energy levels.. we have probably even heard earfuls about the wonders garlic and cayenne pepper in our cardiovascular health, but when we enter a health food store and pick up these natural remedies we must understand that these natural medicines are in no way regulated by our government..The FDA does not in any way regulate the purity of the contents or even the health claims made by these distributors. The FDA does regulate prescription medications however. It is difficult to say the least in determining what is true and what is false...with the natural food markets and natural organic foods hitting the shelves, people are left confused about what is what. Many people believed at one time that honey was a godsend...but strangely enough, even too much honey can have the same effects as sugar on your system. Moderation and education, may be the key to it all. I urge you to always ask questions.

Natural Remedies

There are some good old fashion recipes used for centuries by various cultures that are still used today. Again, I am not a health professional..not even a naturalpath..however I am a mother, and mother's may just very well have the best innate instinct of them all. With that said.. hre are some various remedies for various ailments, and please if you are taking medications for anything, do consult your doctor..Even natural remedies can interact and have adverse effects on the body. The best natural medicine for anyone is a healthy diet, exercise, meditation, and breathing.

ANXIETY-

It isn't until recently that people recognized anxiety as a real disease. As human beings we have always had an instinct that something is wrong.. a message sent from our brains to our bodies that for some reason we needed to be on alert.. The alertness came before any thought of conscious understanding of  situation. As a young species still surviving with the threat of the wild, perhaps we needed this. A dog in the wild, was a natural fear for us, another tribe was a natural cautious approach.. We have since learned that most dogs are domesticated, and many of us have surpressed the natural alerts and fears of nature, simply put, they weren't needed anymore. Many of us have also put aside our natural fear of unknown people...but it still bleeds through some of us. On top of what I would consider to be a natural anxiety, perhaps there is another, some of us were truly victims of hoorible circumstances and are dealing with our brains natural reaction to trauma, others of us, have had no traumatic experiences at all. More and more people seem to be suffering from anxiety. Truly we live in a stressful fast-paced world, with little time to think or reflect, other then when our brain defrags at night, but some of us cannot fully defrag before we are up again and leave ourselves prone to another bout of stressful circumstances. We have forgotten the most fundamental parts of living, and our bodies are letting us know. We must take the time to let go, not forget ourselves in the natural swing of things we have since created. We must take the time to stop, and let the world go on around us. We must stop, breath and take a moment to be concious of ourselves again. Breathe, and slow down. Try for once to think of only a single thought, and move to thinking of absloutely nothing. Many of us have lost the ability to do this, but in order to truly resolves our anxieties, this is the key and the first step of any relief, no matter what the underlying cause. We would naturally be able to defend ourselves from even the most harsh of trauma, if we could allow ourselves the time.

What we injest influences every aspect of our chemistry..right down to our basic molecular activity..Many of us grab a cup of coffee right before we enter into the busy world. Why on earth would we jumpstart our bodies in such a harsh manner. Who knows, I do it myself.
